Place Value and Addition

Written by Donna Boucher

Students have to clearly see the connection between place value and the operations so they can develop efficient strategies for multi-digit calculations.  A great place to start is by exploring addition of multiples of 10 using a hundred chart.  I’ve just finished up my new product, Monkey Business, and I hope you’ll check it out.  It contains 9 different workstation activities for exploring place value and adding multiples of 10.
